The Cobb Justice Foundation, a program of
Legal Aid of Cobb County and the Cobb County Bar Association, is the pro
bono project of Cobb County. We refer the civil legal matters of
low-income Cobb County residents to private attorneys for pro bono
representation.
Why pro bono?
Most attorneys know that the ABA Model Rules governing lawyers call us
to perform fifty hours per year of service pro bono publico.
But lawyers who volunteer through Cobb Justice don't just volunteer
because it's the right thing to do. Year after year, Cobb lawyers agree
to help the poor of our community with their civil legal issues because
it is challenging, rewarding, and yes; even fun.
Volunteer!
If you are a lawyer licensed by the State Bar of Georgia, we welcome you
as a member of the Cobb Justice Foundation. Members are asked to pledge
to take at least two pro bono cases per year in their area of
expertise. For more information, or for a membership form, contact
Sarah Cipperly at sccipperly@atlantalegalaid.org.
Contribute!
If you cannot take pro bono cases, we also welcome you to join as a
Contributing Member. All donations to Cobb Justice support the programs
of Legal Aid of Cobb County, a branch office of Atlanta
Legal Aid Society, Inc.
